Baseball Talk: Impressive Pitcher John Lannan

In his third major league start, 22 year old Washington Nationals rookie pitcher John Lannan pitched a very impressive 7 innings against the San Francisco Giants. Home run record seeker Barry Bonds faced him at bat four times and did not get his home run. John Lannan walked him once, Bonds popped out and grounded out, and then in a great inning John Lannan struck Bonds out in the 7th. I wish I had been watching on TV instead of imagining it on my XM radio!!! Great pitching! This is one of the reasons I love baseball, because each player is performing not only for their team, but for their personal best at every game. Very impressive for the rookie :-)
