End of Times or "These Times": analogy

I've thought of an analogy, using popular culture, to explain with accuracy these current times. Many people incorrectly believe that they are in and, heaven forbid, actual "enlightened" participants in the End of Times. If you read the Bible you would realize that this is such a huge "duh" that there is no way that even a fraction of the tribulations that will fall on humanity are even beginning to come to pass. It's quite plain that people will know when the End of Times is coming because you'd have to be dead not to notice the scale, magnitude and severity of the testing of the faithful and the chastisement of living sinners.

However, I totally understand the rest of the people's honest concern that there are very disconcerting events taking place that call to mind the End of Times. That is the difference and that is God's intention. You are hearing "warning shots," urging people to repent and lead good lives, not to buckle down and be even more "bad" so you can "bring on" the End of Times. The End comes when God wills it, not according to your misplaced or genuinely fearful thoughts and imaginings.

So here is the analogy. Think of these times as "sampling" of the End of Times. Sampling is a musical term, most often used in rap music, when snippets of previously recorded songs or music is used to insert into new material. So these times are just like normal times have been historically except that people have fallen dreadfully away from the purity of faith in the one God as they have been contaminated by many false prophets and idols, both religious and secular. This is why Jesus mentions most particularly that there will be continual rumors and false prophets, but to believe neither.

However, unlike what deists and others "believe," God is an activist God. He allows humans to exercise their free will, including whether to believe in him or not, and thus be saved, or not. God will and does, as both the Bible and Qur'an explain, administer earthly chastisement on occasion. He does so when he feels that humans are bringing on their own heads not only the consequences of their own disobedience, but dragging the children and others down with them. God then, according to his own Wisdom and All Knowing, will administer chastisement, or simply allow self induced negative consequences (God dries up grace, will not respond to prayers, etc if he must harden his heart). In other words, where he might have intervened to help a situation, he lets the human choice self induced "chips fall where they may."

So you are right to be uneasy that this is a sort of prelude time, but it is wrong to assume that anything humanity has experienced is anything that will be like the genuine tribulations. Just read the Bible and stop whining that every tragedy sounds anything at all like the real thing. However, be aware that because of the many false prophets and many rumors, humanity is going through a hardening of the heart phase that is resulting in many chastisements, kind of a "mini" or "sampling" of the tribulations. That ought to make you want to repent and convert your hearts back to the one true God, purely, rather than continually defying him or, worse, asking for him to "bring it on" because "you'll be saved and raptured." Not so much.

Remember that Jesus himself stated that he does not know when the End of Times will come, and that only God knows. Who are you then to interpret any of the minor sufferings of humanity (compared to the actual tribulations) as being "that time," when Jesus himself did not know? Really now, get a grip and some humility.

However, you are alert to recognize that those who filled your ears with such stuff are fulfilling the two warning signs that Jesus did advise would occur beforehand, rumors and false prophets. Remember, humanity could very well go through centuries of rumors and false prophets. God does not work in humanity's idea of "soon."

I do not understand how people can just sit there and be eager for more misery and suffering. How is that exercising Christian charity of "love of neighbor," as Jesus ordered? When God smites and chastises, or allows a "sampling" of the tribulations, or allows humans to suffer the consequences of their own falls and bad decisions, why do you think he would want you to do even more of the same, rather than stop, ponder, repent and convert? I mean, "DUH." It's like some people think that if the "End of Times" is soon, then charity goes out the window and everyone "gets what they deserve." Amen, brother, but what they deserve will be severe judgment upon one's individual death, when one's life is over and oops, the End of Times did not occur, but you allowed festering rumor and false prophecy and evil and sins and missed opportunities to just roll along and pile up on the backs of others.

So yes, heed the times, as Jesus said, and pay attention to the signs, the signs of rumors and false prophets, but do not follow them, knuckleheads. When God chastises or allows sorrow or evil to befall, especially when it is human self inflicted, its because he wants you to CHANGE, repent and mend your ways and return to him, not keep beating a dead horse, mocking God, and disobeying him in any or all things.

People might forgive too soon

Two nights ago just before my evening prayers I had an ominous feeling that people who had wronged me, grievously wronged me, around thirty years ago were going to be severely chastised by God. While these people have done nothing to indicate atonement and certainly have done nothing spiritually or materially generous in recompense in my direction, I was moved to pray to God for him to have mercy on them.



Even I, who knows God very, very well, was surprised at the rebuke that I received. I don't mean like I was yelled at or something went wrong to me, but I viewed a very swift chastisement of people who have benefited materially by my being wronged. I was given to understand quite clearly by God that I am not to forgive people who do not repent, atone, and ask for forgiveness. God describes it with this kind of image, that a person being beaten and tortured cannot have the torturers scream at her "forgive us" while they assault her further.



I thought I would share this communication because I wrote recently on this very topic, and there has been a pressure put upon pious people to "forgive," even before the sinner or criminal has made even nominal admission of guilt and regret.



So, sorry a-holes, but I'm not to forgive anyone for anything, even though I reluctantly, but sincerely, tried (half knowing the answer in advance but still surprised at how swiftly God responded to demonstrate that his chastisement, even decades later, will come to those who refuse to repent). Additionally, do remember that God promises that his vengence for wrongs to him and against the innocent will fall on multiple generations (since those who benefit, especially materially, from their parents' trangressions will also have to pay for the injustice). Therefore, a delay in chastisement often only means that God will chastise multiple generations, and I've seen some examples of that recently. It's not like the Bible hasn't made that abundantly clear. "Experts" ought to be more thorough in their Bible study and not cherry pick.

Terrifying sign from God this afternoon

What I saw about an hour ago has scared me more than I've ever been scared in my life. Not on my behalf, because I serve God, and so I'm not worried about my demise, and never have been, but because of the terrifying message for "humanity" of the world.

I was driving in my car returning from afternoon dinner. I was observing dramatic clouds, both white and golden ones, and the dark blue ones that form lower than the light colored ones. At the base of towering white billowing clouds I saw the figure of the Infant Jesus, formed entirely of the dark blue clouds. He was unmistakable. His right hand was raised in judgment. He had neither crown nor orb, and he was not attired in robes, and so he was not the blessing figure as in the Infant of Prague. He was swaddled, as he was after he was born, but with his right arm raised in judgment. In other words, it was as described in the Apocalypse when Jesus returns on the clouds, except it was the judging Infant Jesus. There is no mistaking this message and I'm in terror that too many people have waited in their evil for too long, and that this is certainly the last message before the terrible demise of the world if it does not change immediately.

I looked for a place to pull over with a clear view (since I was driving among tree lined road with no easy place to pull over and I had a car right behind me) and take a picture, as I had my camera. But even though there was no wind, the clouds forming the Infant Jesus dissipated in what I figure to have been less than a minute. But anyone who had been looking at the sky at that moment in that place would have seen it; it was not a vision or personal miraculous event.

I urge all believers to pray and beg for God's mercy the rest of today and all through tomorrow. Though it is not the believers who bear this burden; it is the unbelievers and the two faced (pretend to believe but still do occult and anti-life activities) who desperately need to sincerely convert and pray for God's mercy for the world. This is not a political statement. I do not care about the gays who are "marrying" in California, or any other political event meant to divide people in quarrel. The fact this was the Infant Jesus, only two days after that man in California stomped a baby boy to death in the road in front of horrified people, is a direct reference to the anti-life and child hating society. I am not even talking about abortion, though abortion is what stoked the flames. I'm talking about the society wide hatred of the innocence of babies and children, both literally and figuratively. The scorn toward infants, children, and those innocent in heart and spirit, is drawing God's wrath as sure as I am typing this. I've been screaming my warnings for years now, and I can only stand horrified that even that seems like not enough, and that perhaps all of you have deliberately run out the clock on God's mercy. I'd not hold your breath expecting a "rapture" either, as I've repeatedly explained to you and warned you.

This is not a Christian issue, though it is the secular and two faced remnants of Christianity and Judaism that has caused this problem. So this is not a call to convert to Christianity; far from it, I am counting on the sincere prayers for mercy from God from those who believe the most purely in God's right and might: the Muslims. I hope that in your daily prayers your Imams and other spiritual leaders lead you in particular prayers for God's mercy on behalf of all who have profaned life and their fear of God so terribly. But I hope that the secularists, the Christians and the two faced so called Christians have a conversion that is real and sudden and fall on their knees and beg for God's mercy. I can't do it for you. You yourselves must return to God, fear him and beg for his mercy. I'm near dumbfounded at the severity of the message I have seen today, even as I have been dreading it in half expectation, it is terrible to see in reality how God's love and mercy has been squandered and abused until it seems as though the clock may well run out before people "get around to" doing the right thing.

A Stern Message about Suicide

I don't want to continually focus on the negative, but I would be remiss if I did not write what I am about to say. Today a so called "Madam" (female pimp) commit suicide instead of going to prison. There are many people who commit suicide nowadays, and I want to address those who do so for reasons like hers, to "avoid jail." I'm not addressing in this message those who are in mental despair, or the very young who face a sad problem of impulsive suicide. I'm talking to those who, for example, in a break up, kill their spouse/kids and then commit suicide thinking "you all will be together forever." Um, obviously this is not true. Just because modern society has slipped into thinking of heaven as a slam dunk guarantee and that hell is not real and unbearable, doesn't mean that the misperception is true. Hell and judgement are very real, just as they always have been, and always will be. God certainly does not reunite a parent who kills before suicide, and hell is almost always the outcome.

The same is true for cynical suicide mentality such as "avoiding prison" thinking that death is either nothingness or "default heaven." A pimp has to face judgment for not only encouraging men and women, boys and girls to prostitute themselves (and the pimp is culpable for their moral decay) but also a pimp is responsible for the families who are ruined by his or her providing temptation. It's not like the good old days where those lonely cowboys needed the "whore with the heart of gold." Pimping destroys the moral fabric of the prostitutes, the families of the "patrons," encourages the moral decay of the "patrons," and also the dissolution of the community. It is a mortal sin of the gravest nature. All this woman had to do would be to go to prison and repent. She could have written articles from prison discouraging people from prostitution and she could have saved her eternal soul.

By committing suicide she actually cut away her own chance at salvation and, while I am not going to speak on behalf of God in this case, you know what I've said is very clear. She chose, in her own arrogance, to not even make a feeble effort in prison to undo some of the moral damage that she encouraged and profited from. God does not ask people who sin to perform miracles. If that madam pimp had even sincerely tried to repent and turn others away from the choices she made, she would have opened herself to a fair chance of salvation. Instead, in her arrogance, she chose the road to hell. What a pity, and an all too common "decision."

Remember, I am not at all addressing the suicide as a sin in and of itself theology. I am pointing out that she committed suicide and invoked judgment on herself in a state of very grave sin against the dignity of very many persons and in a state of not only un-belief in judgment based on her actions, but also refusing to accept prison and a life of working for a greater good in penance. That was a terrible and very dire choice, and people need to regain their understanding of that (prior generations understood this much clearer than this fuzzy, self centered and secular society allows). A very sad topic with a very unhappy ending ever after, but I hope that some good can come from her choice if others learn from this easy to understand example that she has made of herself.

I do not want to leave the end of this blog post with her family and friends in a state of total despair after reading this, although I must repeat, I am being truthful and frank so that others do not make the same mistake. I would encourage you to sincerely pray on her behalf. Prayers are never wasted, even if they do not achieve a specific result that one might wish for. But as Jesus reminded, with God all things are possible. Any sincere prayers that you make on her behalf will go to good use in God's greater vision and perspective in eternal time. It is through prayer that great conversion of heart can take place and even if the person is gone, the problems they have left behind and the damage they did remains. Prayer can help in the mitigation of the deceased loved one's damage that they did not attempt to remedy. And God can always put that to good use inside and outside the affected family and their community.
