Bertulf (died circa 705)

Born of pagan parents in Germany.
Went to Flanders and was converted to Christianity.
Became a steward to a Count.
Accompanied the count on a pilgrimage to Rome.
When the count and his wife died they left to him their estate.
He founded a monastery and retired to it.
Remained at the monastery until his death.
