Holy Spirit actual real life example

I understand that people need to feel that God is working in the real problems of today. While reminiscing about a number of things today I came across mention of the SALT treaties between the USA and Russia (then the USSR).

I can assure you that the SALT negotiations was inspired continually and throughout by the Holy Spirit, on both sides of the negotiating table. So if you ever want to look back on a historical event and read about it knowing that the Holy Spirit was providing the continual stimulation toward progress, this would be one I recommend, as I remember those days well and can testify as to the Holy Spirit's involvement throughout. It is safe and accurate to say that it would not have happened at all without the Holy Spirit's continual urging on both sides.

(If someone had been looking over my shoulder during the SALT periods of 1969 - 1979, if they had looked carefully they would have noticed that the one thing I monitored in the political sphere was SALT. I'd read all newspaper articles about it and pause as updates were given on the nightly news and listen. I monitored the actual numbers and types of missiles under discussion, and if you had asked me during that decade, I could have given you the current numbers.

It was also the focus of most of my prayer intentions too. If the USA and USSR had not gotten going on SALT, the other political and social issues would not have mattered so much, if you know what I mean. I paid attention to the SALT successor, START, but not as intently since the big effort was really needed during SALT. That was the time.

Bono and U2 might sing in the last couple years about "how to dismantle a nuclear bomb" but I watched it actually happen back when they were tadpoles lol. Yeah. I've been underappreciated and downright disrespected for that long, as I watched over the things that really mattered).
