She married a pagan.
When her husband was killed in battle she devoted herself to raising her son Rupert as a Christian.
She founded several hospices for the poor.
She visited Rome.
Upon returning she decided to give away their possessions and become hermits.
Her son died at the age of twenty.
She spent the remaining twenty-five years of her life as a hermit.
