Terrible Philippines ferry sinking tragedy

Divers managed to get inside the sunk and inverted ferry that sank in a typhoon, killing what is estimated to be over 800 people.

What a terrible, horrible tragedy. These are ordinary people, families and workers, trying to do their best and get by, and so many have been killed.

I join the President of the Philippines who wonders what they were thinking, to allow this ferry to depart with the typhoon bearing down on them?

Sincere and deep prayers, please, for so many who are lost, and for wisdom in ensuring this won't happen again.
