While I don't have any shopping to do I need to get to the mall and at least get some walking around exercise! Especially as I've been eating and snacking as if I am celebrating both the Eid and Christmas!
About what I just blogged. Here is an example of how to apply my advice. The New Testament has much about how God loves humans, and there is an abundance of Scripture to quote to justify this belief. Some Christians accuse the Qur'an of not demonstrating God's love, since they do not find similar quotations (if they even bother to look). This is a huge error.
How much more love can God demonstrate than to send the same blessed angel Gabriel who announced the conception of Jesus to the Muslim people? Gabriel who not only teaches but preserves information that would have been lost otherwise? And further, what more demonstration of God's love is there but to give a book expressly for the Muslim people? And a Prophet (PBUH) to revitalize the faith and demonstrate the people's fervor for the one God? And did not God give the people the Imams to guide them?
God gives the gifts according to the landscape that his children are walking within, as my example illustrates. One people has become accustomed to searching for words to demonstrate God's love for them. But the other people have the gifts in their hands that they value every day, and perhaps there is not as poetic a gift card written on top of the prized gift. But that does not mean there is any theological difference between Christian and Muslim about the boundless extent of God's love. The presence of Scriptural words in one gift to one people does not mean that there must be the same words within the great gift given the the other people.
I hope this helps with discernment and comprehension!
