The Spiritual Works of Mercy

To give counsel to the doubtful.

To instruct the ignorant.

To admonish sinners.

To comfort the afflicted.

To forgive offenses.

To bear patiently the troublesome.

To pray for the living and the dead.


Personal comment: Notice that these are both gifts of mercy to humans by God through the Holy Spirit AND actions that humans should follow with each other in emulation of God's perfect example.
