More about Final Judgment/Resurrection of Body

I'm going to teach you how to "think like God" in this quick exercise. This is a follow up to my blog posting about Wright's being somewhat wrong. It's two points that while driving around today and thinking I realize are very helpful to helping you all to think more like God and to be less easily deceived.

First of all you have to trust that whatever God does will be perfect and is not influenced by anything humans do or think. So you cannot "rush" the Final Judgment and Resurrection by any deeds of humans. I can safely tell you it is many, many, many years off. It would be helpful if you think of it as being a million years in the future. I'm not saying it is, but I'm putting you back on the right track of how to think about God's timetable. So you need to trust that it will happen when it will happen and it will be great beyond human understanding. This, incidentally, is one reason why God is so fond of devout Muslims. While they study the Qur'an and try to discern God's will, they very easily stop when they reach a point where they feel God has revealed all he is going to reveal and that they just need to trust in him, and they do. Many Christians, especially those who are not Catholics, not only try to second guess God, but they do not trust him. They try to "work the angles" and juice any "insight" they think they can for all it's worth for personal power and material control, and in the belief they can wrest out secrets that God has planted in the totally black and white simple for even idiots to understand scriptures. What is love? The number one requirement of human-human love is trust. You trust someone enough to be intimate and to join a family together. You see in the Bible that Jesus asked Peter if he loved him the most. This was not an insecure question, or one done for literary purpose. Jesus was ascertaining that Peter loved Jesus the most and therefore totally trusted Jesus. It was then that Jesus confirmed that Peter would be the Rock, and the Vicar of Jesus Christ on earth. Likewise God expects total trust in him from all who are not infidels. God can measure how much you really love him by how much you trust him. So you cannot tell God in prayer that you love him if you are also "hedging your bets" by trying to manipulate his works and plans, because that means you do not trust God, and therefore you do not love him. So God knows when a Muslim reads the Qur'an, seeks guidance from the scholars and Imams, tries to apply to his or her life what they read, and then trust in God for all the rest of it that this Muslim loves God in truth. I'll let you guess what he thinks of the Christians I have described who try to second guess and actually manipulate what God prophesies for the future of humans.

The second point I want to elaborate on is how I mentioned that many of the human residents of heaven (by human I mean non-angelic, that isn't a hint that there are "aliens" and "bots" in heaven LOL LOL) are the pre-born, infants and children. Think about it. During all of human history billions of these young ones have died and gone to heaven. All pre-born babies have souls and these souls go to heaven if the pre-born baby perishes due to death of the pregnant mother, miscarriage, or abortion. So you know there are over forty million souls in heaven first hand because that's how many abortions there have been (estimated) in these past several decades. Then of course many children died at birth, or as babies, or as young children due to illness, mishap, being harmed, or from poverty. All these millions and millions of innocents throughout human history are of course also in heaven.

Well, when people obsess about the Final Judgment and Resurrection of the Body, do you think that these souls will be born again into their original fetal bodies? Floating around in some sort of glowing sac if they were pre-born or as parentless children if they were born? Good grief. Humans have absolutely no conception of how to think about the entire picture, they think only of themselves. These rapture believing and Final Judgment/Resurrection of Body "decoders" only imagine themselves as big smart cookies with a ticket to being resurrected, and figure God will give them a really awesome model of their adult bodies. Well, guess what? If your "decoding" of what God "will do" is so accurate and insightful, what do you think God will do for the bodies of the pre-born and the babies and toddlers who are also resurrected? OBVIOUSLY God has a PERFECT PLAN that YOU CANNOT UNDERSTAND. OBVIOUSLY pre-born children will not be floating around looking like they did when they died in the womb and frozen in a state of not knowing about adulthood. Trust me, THEY will know more than YOU do since they will have been in heaven in the presence of their model, who is the Infant Jesus.

Think of the icons where Jesus is written as a baby yet with adult features and adult knowledge in his eyes. This is the grace of Jesus that the pre-born are in the presence of in heaven. Now can you imagine how they might be born at the time of the Final Judgment and Resurrection of the Body? And as good as that is, I'm just giving you an example. God is perfect and fulfills beyond human's expectations and understanding.

I hope these help satisfy some curiosity but more important remind you that all will happen as God wills it in his timeframe, not yours, and that if you love God you trust him to have a vision far beyond what the depressives of earth can dream up.
