True nature of the dead in heaven and hell

Jesus related the following story in Luke 16: 19-31.

"There was a certain rich man who used to clothe himself in purple and fine linen, and who feasted every day in splendid fashion. And there was a certain poor man, named Lazarus, who lay at his gate, covered with sores, and longing to be filled with the crumbs that fell from the rich man's table; even the dogs would come and lick his sores. and it came to pass that the poor man died and was borne away by the angels into Abraham's bosom; but the rich man also died and was buried in hell. And lifting up his eyes, being in torments, he saw Abraham afar off and Lazarus in his bosom. And he cried out and said, 'Father Abraham, have pity on me, and send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, for I am tormented in this flame.'

But Abraham said to him, 'Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime hast received good things, and Lazarus in like manner evil things; but now here he is comforted whereas thou art tormented. And besides all that, between us and you a great gulf is fixed, so that they who wish to pass over from this side to you cannot, and they cannot cross from your side to us.'

And he said, 'Then, father, I beseech thee to send him to my father's house, for I have five brothers, that he may testify to them, lest they too come into this place of torments.' And Abraham said to him, "They have Moses and the Prophets; let them hearken to them.' But he answered, "No, father Abraham, but if someone from the dead goes to them, they will repent.' But he said to them, "If they do not hearken to Moses and the Prophets, they will not believe even if someone rises from the dead.'"

*********
This may be the most important story you ever read, because Jesus Christ explained several things that are crucial to hear, understand, and believe, about the nature of heaven, hell, and earth. First of all, hell is real, and those who sin (including sins of neglect) will go to hell. Second, hell is unbearable and eternal. Third, heaven is bliss and even the lowest on earth will rest in the bosom of the prophets and saints, and the rest of the righteous, where there is no sorrow and only eternal reward. Fourth, there is a barrier "a great gulf" between heaven and hell that not even Abraham could cross to console, even if he were willing to. Hell is truly the absence of God. Fifth, it is not allowed to communicate to earth in warning or for any other reason from heaven or hell.

Now, pay attention psychics. Some of you are phony and some of you do have ESP talents. No matter what you think you are seeing, you are not receiving information from heaven or hell, and you are not peering into either one. This story that explains the structure of heaven and hell makes that clear that no one on earth receives warning or other information from heaven or hell. Those of you who have real ESP, and it is rarer than people believe, are reading earth bound information, from which you are deducing futuristic information. Hence, some of it is good, and some of it is profane. There is a good explanation of this earthly phenomenon in books by Rupert Sheldrake, and he calls it "morphic resonance."

For example, if you think that a dead relative is telling you that someone you know is going to have a baby, and that comes true, it is not because your dead relative in heaven (or hell) is actually giving you this information because there is a total communications "black out" between heaven and hell and earth. It has nothing to do with your "prowess" as a psychic either, because it's the sheer physics that make it impossible to bridge until one dies (in total, not in near death experiences.) That is what Abraham refers to as "a great gulf is fixed." No one has seen heaven except the great Prophets of the Bible who were taken by God to view some portion of it.

Remember, time does not exist in heaven. There is no sequencing of events. I'll write more about this sometime, but I mention it by way of illustration of why the physics of God's realm are totally different from earth, and hence a "great gulf is fixed." If a psychic receives information about a person it is NOT coming from a saint or angel or any other being of heaven, or hell. If you imagine that image, it is your projections that are supplying that image. The true Prophets were in a one hundred percent pure prayer state of obeying God's will in all ways, and hence were able to be led by the hand (mentally) to hear God's word and learn of future events. This is not available to anyone on their own. If God is not recognizing you as a Prophet, then you are not receiving information from God or any other occupant of heaven. You are picking up on the vast amount of information that is afloat, much of it profane, in the earth today. There is then the grave danger of self fulfilling prophecy and worse, blasphemy and the manipulation of people, either maliciously or through good, but totally inflated intention. You should have known you were not seeing into true heaven or hell, or hearing from someone who is dead if what you saw deviated one iota from what is presented in the Bible, in total and completely.

When Abraham said "If they do not hearken to Moses and the Prophets, they will not believe even if someone rises from the dead," he is not making a justification, he is closing the conversation. So he is not saying there could ever be someone who could rise from the dead, and hence be believed or not. He is saying that Moses and the Prophets are the only ones who filled that purpose, of communicating the true and accurate nature of heaven and hell. He was not negotiating; he was closing the conversation with a wry truth.

Listen to Abraham through Jesus Christ.
