Bottom line about climate change

While climate change (warming of earth) is part of a natural cycle and inevitable, the problem is that humans have divided up the ecosystems and reduced the numbers of plants and animals so much that they cannot naturally evolve and respond to the earth's warming. That is the real problem, in a nutshell. If the earth's resources had not been so over depleted, animals and plants would evolve (move, change food habits, breed more resilient offspring, etc) in response to the climate change. But humans have kicked out and stomped the earth's safety net right out from under themselves. And incredibly irresponsible water policy is coming back to haunt people everywhere. Ex-hippies like to read "Dune" but are incapable of wise stewardship toward water, whether in rich cities or for the poor without even wells in Africa. And the farmer always has the short end of the stick.
