Urgent plea to Muslim religious leaders and all

This is an urgent message to my Muslim brothers and sisters, and religious leaders of the faith. Recently children were blown to pieces in Afghanistan by a suicide bomber who targeted them outside of a sugar factor as they gathered to welcome political leaders. When I read that it was as if I was there and felt blown to pieces along with them. My heart and chest was physically pained. While the horrors are all too common I must convey to you the special egregious and unforgivable deed of killing children in terrorism and as if it could be worse, where God is providing food. There is, dear brothers and sisters, no worse sin than murdering a child. You might say that offending God is the worst of sins and I agree, but I assure you that there is no better way to defy and infuriate God – Allah – than to murder a child.

Then a few days ago in Iraq a suicide bomber ran forward to target children at a PLAYGROUND who were receiving candy and toys from the American soldiers and detonated his filthy bomb. He killed three children, terribly maimed many, and yes, also killed the American soldiers. Again, even worse than in Afghanistan, because there was not even the excuse of a conflict or political event taking place, I felt as if my heart was torn. It hurt so badly that I could not even write of it until now. And now I do, with both tears and fury, and righteous anger that will be justified. God curses terrorists who kill children. And again, to kill them as they try to obtain food is a SLAP into Allah’s face. How can one understand that heaven is Allah’s garden and then kill children who are obtaining food, or near to a place of food for the people?

I know that moderate and pious people of Muslim faith agree with me. All too often your own children have been the targets and these children could have been your children. I was equally infuriated when so called Christians in the Irish conflict murdered children, and I urged the Pope to excommunicate the Catholics who acted in such despicable ways.

But I think that fatwas and statements of the firmest nature can make a difference in Afghanistan and Iraq. I urge and beg you to use your influence to reach the zealots who are not aware that if they murder children they will not achieve paradise.

You can reference the Qur’an and hadith more ably than I, but let me offer my perspective of one obvious example of how children are to be esteemed and protected, regardless of the circumstances of conflict and perceived provocation. The Qur’an has much information about Isa, who is Jesus of Mary, who is an acknowledged prophet empowered by Allah and filled with the Holy Spirit. Do you notice that the Qur’an has information about Isa as a baby that even the Christian bible does not? The Prophet (PBUH) was given special information about Isa as a grace to him. The Qur’an contains the truth that Jesus spoke, justified and witnessed to himself as the newly born baby. This was Allah’s way to justify the Muslim people by giving them precious knowledge of the prophet that Allah dearly loved. And Allah showed his love of Jesus as Jesus was a newborn baby, and as the growing child.

How then can any serious and pious person of devotion to Allah think that the murder of any child is ever justified? How then can that person think they will achieve paradise as a martyr if it is a child that he or she is murdering? The Prophet (PBUH) was given special knowledge of Isa’s awareness and speech as a newborn babe for a number of reasons, but one of them is the most obvious, which is the love of and need to protect a baby or a child from harm. Did not Allah select a baby and give him the grace and Holy Spirit to be a prophet and speak for himself as a newly born baby? Allah in his wisdom and generosity went out of his way to detail this information to the Abrahamic people of Islam. If the Messiah, the great Christian prophet was given to the people as a baby who spoke his own justification, how can any terrorist think that any baby or child can be the target of murder and think that counts toward “martyrdom?” It is outrageous to even have that thought.

I urge you to contemplate my words and please do even more to address with firmness and correctness of theology the young men and women who are being misinformed and in consequence not achieving paradise. Thank you and may Allah bring you peace and prosperity.
