More about the money size issue
I mean, how much time and intelligence would that have needed? Years ago someone could have gotten several pieces of promising textured paper. The US Mint could have printed some tests of $10 and $20 bills on various textured papers. Blind people could have felt them to see which were the easiest to distinguish from normal currency. At the same time banks and vendors could have tested their ATMs and vending machines with the different texture bills and see if they work the same. I mean, how much time would that have taken? Two days? I mean, really. Both sides are guilty for not thinking of this and testing a partial solution. We would have different textured $10 and $20 bills working their way into circulation by now. Sheesh.
