Gas accident destroys Wisconsin church

From www.jsonline.com:

First Baptist Church in downtown Oconomowoc was destroyed this afternoon in a blaze after an explosion, believed to have been caused by a ruptured gas main, reduced the structure to rubble.

My condolences and prayers for those injured or who have lost property and their place of worship. I was especially sad to hear about it just minutes after watching the consecration of the Co-Cathedral in Houston.

Having said that, for a moment I got excited that maybe someone had blow torched the Milwaukee cathedral, St. John the Evangelist, to get rid of the wreckage that they have made of that sacred space. There is a crown and cross that look straight from Mordor in the Lord of the Rings, and they turned the altar into one of a three ring circus of "participation" in the center of the "viewers" (obviously not worshippers). I was disappointed to see that instead it was an innocent Baptist church that got an unwilling wreckovation today.

I am speechless (joining those who screamed since the wreckers did this crime to the church in 2001-2) at a confessional that looks like a bathroom, an altar that looks like center ring in a circus, a monstrous gigantic crown of nails hanging over all with a miniature Christ holding what looks like a chicken wish bone in his right hand ("The Holy Spirit"). Why has this not been corrected? Take a hint and get going. Sheesh.
