Mark Trombitas was arrested Monday night after police found him shortly after the dog was killed. They say Trombitas was covered in blood.

A friendly dog, Diamond often played with kids, including the landlords twelve year old daughter. But Monday night, the dog was brutally attacked and killed, and police have charged forty-four year old Mark Trombitas.
