Affirmation of pro life passage in the Qur'an

Surah 17: 31

And do not kill your children for fear of poverty; We give them sustenance and yourselves (too); surely to kill them is a great wrong.

Incredibly there are some Christians who think that abortion is an acceptable action when the mother is poor! I have always been pleased that this passage in the Qur'an spells out that to kill a child because of a fear of poverty is a great wrong in the eyes of God. The poor and the children of the poor are to be taken care of through the provision of sustenance. I still cannot believe how some "Christians" think poor parents should kill their children instead of seeking financial charitable help or giving them up for fostering or adoption. It's a disgrace.
