Grievance mentality foments violence

Liberals and progressives like to think they are open minded and advocates of equality among people. And a classic liberal, such as the ones who existed over thirty years ago, might have been able to justify such a view. But liberals and progressives today do not have the right to make that claim. This is because liberals and progressives, in general, foment what I call a "grievance" mentality. And in order to have a grievance one must identify oneself with a group rather than an individual within a society of shared values. Where thirty years ago a person might have felt discriminated against, but still an American, today liberals and progressives carve up society into categories of people based on gender, religion, sexual orientation, culture and political beliefs (if you don't believe me think about how someone is now "green" or "not," "for the earth" or "against the earth.") This is the cultivating of groups with grievances and is directly inflammatory to humankind's ancient problem of inter tribal warfare.

Look at how innocent adults and children were roasted alive in a church in Kenya. They were members of the tribe that "won/stole" the election being pursued by members of the tribe that "lost/claims" the election. They were pursued into a church and burned alive.

And do I need to remind anyone of Rwanda? (After all there is an award winning movie with Hollywood actors that you can refer to if you forgot.)

There is an effort in this country to cultivate grievance tribes and it has succeeded to an alarming degree. While one tribe of grievance holders has not yet chased the other tribe of anti-grievance holders down the street and burned them alive in a church, the USA is not so far from doing that psychically and with a dark demonizing spirit that is frankly very disturbing. Again, if you do not believe me, look at what happens to people who say they do not believe in global warming, or who attempt to be religious in the public square.

For some reason people have to hate on the other tribe. And even when you have a treasure given to you like the USA, you have to find a way to "create" tribes to hate on via "grievance" and then blame the ones you hate for "causing" the injustice. The USA has become terribly sick and I'm not talking about the bird flu (yet). Countries with historical tribal/clan/cultural/religious divides are wracked with misery through the centuries and rather than thank God the USA does not have that problem, except for the legacy of slavery and the conquest of Indians, in this plastic society you see some politicians and their enablers creating grievance tribes and new categories with which to demonize. It is a disaster that has eaten away at the heart and soul of this country. And you wonder why youth are violent when schools are also stealth grievance tribe manufacturing factories.
