More about the elections and morals

First some personal definitions. I think the USA has both "problems" and "issues." I personally think of problems as systemic flaws that misdirect society and the country as a whole. I think of issues as specific manifestations of dysfunction that spring from the problems as an inevitable result.

For example abortion is an issue. It is an issue because it springs from the two fundamental problems of the USA of 1) diminished faith and adherence to God's law and 2) the disintegration of the traditional family unit. These two problems provide the seed bed for the warped fruit of abortion.

I likewise view the taking of mind altering drugs, including marijuana, as an issue. Notice when I say something is an issue I'm not saying it is minor. I think abortion and drug abuse are two scourges that have partially destroyed the USA already. So I take them very seriously and always have. But in seeking a solution voters must understand that issues spring from problems that ultimately can NOT be solved by elected officials.

Nancy Reagan said, "Just say no" about abusing drugs and she was ridiculed for it. I also gave it a giggle, but from a sympathetic platform. She was right on so many levels but she is up against sinful and broken humanity. People need to learn how to "just say no" to both abortions and drug abuse and then no lawmakers hold a responsibility that ultimately they cannot fulfill.

If half the drug takers in this country stopped taking drugs and used the money (assuming they aren't stealing for it) that they would use for drug abuse to put it into rehab and recovery facilities we would not have to raise taxes, we would not have waiting lists for impoverished abusers, and we'd have hundreds of thousands of people who would be using their full brains again.

If every woman who sought an abortion was given an opportunity to be sponsored and subsidized by individuals or organizations to at least have the baby, and either raise it properly or give it up for adoption, I believe we would eliminate half the abortions almost immediately. We would not have to raise taxes and we would not have the pointless argument about what could have been and what should have been.

Don't wait for the politicians, because you'll wait until the Second Coming and not have a good answer about what you did to solve the problem.

You need to self organize and use some self control to just say no to drugs to yourself, and just say no to having abortions in your own family, and just say yes to rehab and sponsorship of live births and adoptions in the name of charity to strangers.

Liberals have lost their love of children and family (and wink at drugs), and thus it would not occur to them to use the "grass roots" and "sister city" type of tools they used during their heyday of the 1970's and 1980's for these problems. Conservatives never learned the grass root tools of liberals and so they just think having the moral high ground is enough.

People need to grass root self organize to eliminate the demand for both abortion and drugs. This is where I'm a real supply and demand economist. I believe the solution is to cut out the demand for abortions and drugs through self control and through individual and communal sponsorship. Abortions and drug abuse should become repugnant and rare at the grassroots level. That's the real solution to the issues... and a step toward shift in neighbor, charity and faith that will start to mend the larger problems of family disintegration and "alienation" from God's true plan for the prosperity of humanity. (I hate even using the word "alienation" because of all you drunk and druggie idiots who think you are reincarnated step in aliens. My use of the word "alienation" was not a secret coded message from the Romulans har har har.)
