Zacharia 10: 8-9
I will whistle for them to come together, and when I redeem them they will be as numerous as before. I sowed them among the nations, yet in distant lands they remember me; they shall rear their children and return.

While the Lord was speaking of the returned exiles of Israel and the rebuilding of the temple, I assume most people are smart enough to realize that everything in the Bible is pertinent to the entire range of the human condition.
This is another reason, by the way, that in some respects, the Qur'an speaks more powerfully of intention, rather than historical chronology, which much of the Bible concerns itself with. Now that is fine, because if you use your head, you can read a verse such as the one above and realize that God is talking about more than battle strategy for exiles. I could not believe recently when I answered a question in a blog that I was told "that was not what Jesus meant" because the blogger could not stretch and apply what Jesus advised in one situation to another. That is the type of rigid thinking that made Jesus blow his stack by the way.
