Prayers for Lady Bird Johnson

She was a very kind, classy Southern lady. I met her and her daughters at a dinner in her honor back in the 1980's. It was the first time I'd seen Austin, Texas and was so impressed with how green it was. It was the first time I'd been to Texas, first time I drove a Thunderbird car (rental), first time I was interviewed by a "society reporter" though I'm just plain folk and had nothing much quotable to say except how nice Lady Bird is, and how gracious the family.

Well, now she's admiring all those wildflowers in heaven.
