Kudos to Michael Moore

Can you believe I just typed this? Yet it's true. I just listened on my XM radio to Wolf Blitzer on CNN interview Michael Moore, who was making his first appearance on CNN in three years. Before MM spoke CNN ran a set-up piece and thus immediately put MM in the position of having to be on the defensive and refute, before even getting a word out. I admit, I dislike very much that practice, which I consider sandbagging a guest, and I LOVED how MM totally called Wolf and CNN out on the mat about this. I totally agree with how that production practice manipulates the "interview" by painting a person into a corner with misstatements and attacks before he or she can even speak. As a Catholic I've sure seen that a number of times to our folks when they are sandbagged with something about the Church, rather than developing the discussion fairly. So good on you Michael Moore! And to Wolf for taking it very gracefully and maturely. While rushed it ended up being a good conversation on two levels ha ha.
