Two Health Books Highly Recommended
I first heard about Michael Savage, PhD when he was doing years of research into healing plants from around the world and natural medicine. My own college degree is in Environmental Sciences, and I've grown my own herbal medicines (usually nothing more sophisticated than teas) but I've enjoyed reading research and lore in these areas enormously. Michael has formidable knowledge, combined with tender parental experience (he really cares about children, his own and others), and an unmistakable "BS" detector, so he won't lead you wrong. He's a scientist, not an airy "new age" goofball, about how to really use natural medicine. Michael has two fantastic books that I think everyone should look into.
"Healing Children Naturally" was published in 1982 and updated in 1993. It is must reading for every parent. It was written before the huge tendency to poison our children through misdiagnosis of "disorders" and prescribing powerful and wrong headed medications has made childhood into a disease. So it is a gem of common sense and great scholarship that can help reestablish and stabilize a parent's understanding of a child's medical and nutritional needs.
"Reducing the Risk of Alzheimer's" is another book I highly recommend. Even if you don't think that anyone in your family or yourself will ever suffer from this disorder, the book is so educational about understanding how a disease like this can be remedied that I highly recommend it as part of one's general health education and nutrition library.
You can get these books through his web, site www.michaelsavage.com and see information about highlights, excerpts, and why they are so important to read today.
