Another truthful Hell description from the Qur'an

Surah 44: 43-48

43 Surely the tree of the Zaqqum,
44 Is the food of the sinful,
45 Like the dregs of oil; it shall boil in (their) bellies,
46 Like the boiling of hot water
47 Seize him, then drag him down into the middle of the hell.
48 Then pour above his head of the torment of the boiling water.

[The Zaqqum is a "tree" in hell that exists because it is part of the antithesis torment of having rejected the true tree of life, God. In hell the damned are forced to gorge themselves on the tormenting "fruit" of the Zaqqum in direct response to their repeating of the original sin in Eden. It is not a yummy nummy tree my friends.

I've just quickly checked some literature to see what people have surmised about the Zaqqum. Mostly they confine themselves to quoting the Qur'an and what the Prophet (PBUH) thought about this subject. So I'll give a little more insight here. As I mentioned above the reason the Zaqqum exists is because of the symmetry of heaven and earth, and hell. "As above so below" as the scriptures teach. Heaven is the origin of all life, the true garden that flows with the water and tree of God. Earth was designed as the Garden of Eden to sustain humans as they live. Adam and Eve stole fruit from the Tree of Knowledge that God had forbidden them to eat from, and then they lied to God. Thus at that time the Zaqqum sprung into being in hell. It is there as the negative reflection of human rejection of God, while at the same time coveting the powers of God. So there in hell the damned are forced to gorge themselves on the burning fruit as this was their stance and attitude in life toward God and the true life giving tree. The Zaqqum is not in hell just because demons do torture interior decorating, but because it sprang into being as reflection of the abuse performed by humans against the true tree.]

Trust me, I don't enjoy harping on this subject, but I cannot believe the sinful depravity that I and other innocent people have been subjected to, and the reluctance of the cultists and other sinners to stop and perform remediation and penance, even to save themselves from the absolute horror of an eternity in hell.
